Modern Interface Platform for Motor Control and Learning on People with Motor Disorders

The aim of this project is to create a platform of modern interfaces for the reinforcement of Motor Control and Learning of people with motor disabilities, through the use of the gamification paradigm. The main objective is to provide alternative therapy/rehabilitation solutions using modern technologies, specifically electronic games(rehabilitation games, exergames). In addition, patients will also be able to execute their therapeutic program in their home setting, through any of the games they learnt in the clinic and incorporated its movements. Clinic experts will still be able to monitor (asynchronously) patients , through the analysis of the data gathered and stored in a remote server

The proposed platform will include a variety of games, that will be implemented to enhance modern methods of rehabilitation. The main purpose is to strengthen them, and not to replace them. Its use by professional doctors and their patients will enable the first to intervene and monitor the course of patient care, without necessarily being in the practice area. In this way, a higher degree of reliability of the treatment process is achieved and a more substantial analysis of the results is made.
